Educational curriculum and examination system such as SAT, GRE, GMAT, and IELTS is going through exceptional changes. So, it of great importance for the classrooms to cope up with the change through development. It is possible through the increased use of mobile phone and internet in the classroom. It is essential to develop apps for educational purposes immediately. In the future, it is estimated that with the development of smart classrooms students will be able to attend classes from home. They will need to come to class once in a week or in alternative days.

It might seem a humongous task to accomplish but in reality, a noticeable number of universities, colleges, and schools are providing smart classroom facilities to the students. According to a recent statistic, nearly about 6 million smartphones are connected with the educational system. It expands the opportunity for ‘Internet of Things (IoT)’ to be used in the classrooms. It will include the auto light and door-lock system and the location finder facility for the authority. IoT will allow the teacher to interact with the pupils whenever and wherever they want to start from classroom to playground extending to home.

In the future, the smart classroom will change the role of the teachers too. They will need to perform different tasks. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) will be the helping hands for the teachers to interact in the smart classrooms. It will enable the teacher and faculty to take classes without being physically present in the class. Moreover, these technologies along with IoT will ensure to provide first-hand experiences through multimedia projectors. Students will get the practical experience of working in the exact environment as they have been taught theoretically.

Thus, teachers will play the role of advisor and facilitator. And the students will be doing multiple tasks in the classroom. Some will be engaged to learn according to their individual necessities while others will be busy finding out the next contents to study using their smart gadgets such as smartphones, laptops, and the internet.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is getting popular and more developed with each day. AI will enable teachers to find out the individual problems of different students and help them preparing integrated lesson plans for every student.

Smart classrooms will include IoT, VR, AR, and AI all-together to develop a life-long lesson plan for the students to bring out the best out of them in their professional work-field. The increased use of smartphones, projectors, and the internet will take the future smart classrooms to a different level which right now is possible only in fiction novels. But it is going to be the reality in the coming future and so, we must be ready to embrace the smart classroom technologies as soon as possible for our betterment.
